The new school year officially begins on Tuesday, September 5th yet Rachel has had swim practice for the last two weeks and a meet again today so she is in the school mode and getting back on a schedule. She has found all her classes and lamented the fact that she seems to need to go from one end of the building to the other and back again between classes.
Stephen is taking one online class and began that on Monday, August 20th so he has been back in the school mode for over a week now and is still working each day at the beach life guarding. But summer is definitely winding down. We are beginning to see trees change color (part of that might be the drought conditions more than the seasons) and the mornings have definitely been cooler this past week.
We received our school calendar for the year and wanted to let everyone know that graduation is Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m. and anyone who is interested is welcome to join us. We will be having a graduation party as well. When is still be figured out. If you would like to come, please let us know and we will work on making room for you. We will be renting the neighbor's second floor for some people to sleep and she is a dear retired music teacher who goes to our church and loves having people stay with her. We have three floors of space and as long as you don't mind being somewhat squished we can probably accommodate three sets of adults and various children tucked in at our house and one set of adults at the neighbors.

We will be thinking of each of you as the family begins this new school year. We hope it is a really good year with lots of memorable times.
Oma & Opa G and Oma G's sister will definitely be coming to I Falls for Stephen's graduation. There will probably be more of us, but I only want to speak for us at this time. We are looking forward to that special occasion with great anticipation.
Even out west here the trees are beginning to show signs of the changing season and the days have a little more crispiness in the air when we go walking. I think fall is approaching though I won't complain about some good ol' Indian summer.
