Job Interviews and Updates

I just got off the phone with the National Audio Theater Festivals' search committee who took me through my paces in the first interview. This is for the position of Executive Director, which sounds more impressive than it is. It's a part time position, but it would give me the chance to be part of a national organization for audio theater. As of now, NATF (as it's known) is basically one conference held in Missouri every May. What I'd like to see it become is a national academy similar to the motion picture academy which runs the Oscars each year. And though I wouldn't be 'in charge' as an executive director (I would answer to the board of directors) I would have a lot of practical power. I figure I need to pick up another job for the next decade or so while the kids are in college. What better job than this one?

Everyone is doing fine, though we are a little snuffly. The kids have the rest of the week off school and are going on a church retreat Friday afternoon. I'm getting ready for the Halloween show on Oct 26, and Diane has Family night next week and teens pizza and games tomorrow. All is well. We have all our reservations for train, hotel and car rental, and are looking forward to Christmas.
